Features 20 original recordings from 1960 onwards. All pieces were composed and arranged by Ronald Binge who also conducted the orchestras playing on this CD, with one exception.
"His passion for music continued all his life", writes Ronald Binge's Widow Vera in her touching introduction in the booklet to this CD. In 1957 he won the Ivor Novello Award for the best light orchestral composition of the year, Elizabethan Serenade. A particular favourite in the UK is Sailing By, which has announced the Shipping Forecast on Radio Four since 1973. Ronald Binge died in 1979 but his work is still alive and highly appreciated by people who enjoy Light Music.

Ring of Kerry, included here, was probably the most played of all his output. And for a decade or more from the late 1960s, Hope's theme tune for BBC Television News was heard daily by millions. -
