This is Mozart Edition

Mozart Edition started life in the early 1950s, publishing and producing Light Classical and Big Band music. From the beginning the recordings were made in the best equipped studios in Europe, with some of the finest musicians available. Mozart Edition was one of the first companies to produce stereo recordings and since then has offered a wide range of high quality music especially for radio, TV and film from an ever increasing catalogue. Some of the best of the catalogue is available on LP and CD.

The repertoire was fast expanded by Joe Cohen who successfully managed Mozart Edition (Great Britain) Ltd. from his office in London’s Wardour Street during the sixties and much of the seventies. He published titles by a number of well known British composers, including Ronald Binge, Peter Hope, Wilfred Josephs, Bryan Kelly, Alan Langford, and David Lyon providing music for BBC television and radio programmes including the ‘The Great War’ series and ‘Friday Night Is Music Night’.

Mozart Edition (GB) Ltd. has been managed by Kate Swinburne-Johnson since 2007 continuing the tradition of this established British music publishers.
